I am interested in how animals perceive, respond to, and shape their environment. I enjoy using GPS tracking, remote sensing, and field data to explore how spatial behavior relates to environmental heterogeneity in the context of both natural and anthropogenic change. My research has primarily focused on large herbivores in African ecosystems, with the goal of advancing both ecological knowledge and conservation objectives. I have a B.A. in Government from Harvard and an M.S. in Conservation Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, where I adapted ranger-based monitoring to study black rhino resource use in Zimbabwe. Prior to joining the Davies Lab, I worked at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, integrating aspects of behavioral ecology, movement ecology, and physiology to study the reintroduction of scimitar-horned oryx to Chad.
