Opportunities for Postdocs

There will be periodic postdoc vacancies affiliated with projects funded by the lab posted here and elsewhere. Prospective postdocs are also encouraged to explore fellowship options at Harvard and are welcome to get in touch to discuss ideas for writing a grant proposal together. Some funding possibilities are also listed under the Useful Links tab.

Prospective Graduate Students

Graduate students in the lab are free to work on a project of their choosing, but it should address some aspect of animal-landscape interactions. If you are interested in applying, below are a few suggestions on how to proceed. However, the lab is currently at capacity and we are not considering new graduate student applications in 2022.

Browse the OEB Graduate Program webpage to familiarize yourself with the program and how the application process works

Email Professor Davies with the following:

  1. A letter explaining your background and research interests
  2. At least two contactable references
  3. Please also attach your current CV or resume

Email Lydia Carmosino, Senior Academic Programs Administrator for the OEB Graduate Program to request information on how to apply. Lydia is responsible for tracking the progress of your application and can keep you informed of its status.

The OEB Graduate Committee typically invites short-listed candidates to visit the department for interviews at the end of January or early February (although virtual interviews are possible for overseas candidates and/or those unable to visit during the interview period). The Committee makes final decisions shortly thereafter.
