I am a senior from Washington, D.C. studying Integrative Biology with a secondary in studio art. I am passionate about human-animal coexistence and the implementation of conservation strategies that support both human and non-human communities. I have previously worked on projects in the Mediterranean related to the effects of dynamite fishing on cetacean behavior, and spent a semester in Panama studying human ecology and conservation. I am currently working with PhD Candidate Lucrecia Aguilar, focusing on human-lion dynamics and coexistence in Laikipia, Kenya. For my senior thesis, I am investigating how ecological and social factors shape cattle movement in a complex landscape where lions are present. My project uses field data, GPS tracking, and remote sensing data.
